The Alonsa Conservation District is happy to be able to supplement its funding with the help of various partners. We would like to thank the following:
The Manitoba Government provides 75% of ACD's funding yearly.
In addition to other projects, the Rural Municipalities of Alonsa and Lakeshore each provide 25% of ACD's yearly funding.
With support from Alonsa Public School, and grants from Prairie Mountain Health's Healthy Together Now and New Horizons for Seniors funding programs, ACD helped to complete a two tier project called A.A.C.R.E - Alonsa Agriculture Community Restorative Enterprise, a project which installed new green houses and raised garden beds in two locations within the community, As well as an accessible community park.
In a joint project with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Manitoba Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund, ACD has completed the Garrioch Creek Walleye Spawning Project, the creek is one of the most important infrastructure drains in the district.
